What this site is

The Scrappy Stack is an independent publication covering the tools and workflows of running lean. We exist to help founders make better operating decisions — and we keep our credibility by being honest about how we make money.

Paid partnerships

Most of what we publish is ordinary editorial, with no money changing hands. From time to time a piece may include a paid partnership with a brand we feature. When that is the case:

• We disclose it on the article itself and on the site-wide banner.
• A paid partner can be included in our coverage; a paid partner cannot dictate what we

say, suppress a competitor, or edit our copy.

• Any comparison that features a paying brand also includes tools we have no relationship

with. We never run a comparison of paying partners only.

Our standards

• We write from hands-on operating experience and prefer specifics and numbers to adjectives.
• We name tools as examples, never as a ranked leaderboard, and never recommend what we

wouldn't recommend to a friend.

• Corrections are made promptly and noted.

How our content is produced

Articles are produced and edited by our editorial team, and reviewed before publication.
